August 7th

Spent this morning at Catalyst Athletics to work with Greg Everett. Today we did snatches, I learned lots of things that should help me improve. I want 165# by October and then more. I'll be heading back over there Thursday to get help with the clean and jerk. There is only so much I can do to help myself and others by watching videos and getting a few coaching tips here and there, but spending an hour with an expert will help transfer over into lots of new cues and awareness as to what I am doing right or wrong and what I need to do to fix it. I keep improving on the olympic lifts and they are some of my favorite things I do in training so I am really excited to have this opportunity to learn. As I already knew, I need lots of help with my snatch, I don't hit all the positions I need to in the first place, and the ones I do hit still need tweaking.

PM - MAP (short end, high %'s)
500m Row @ 80%,85%,90%,90%, 2 min walk b/t - damper 5

Complete 1 round every 2 minutes for 12 minutes:
15 Thruster @ 65lb
50 Double Unders
completed this killed me. I had to break up my 4th set of thrusters my legs just couldn't generate power, so annoying. I was so exhausted after, felt almost lactic and breathing sucked.

50 Burpees to 6" OH @ steady, consistent, sustainable pace (goal is sub 3 min)
3:14 didn't have much energy left by this point. I did 16 burpees in the first min so I paced it exactly how I wanted to but I couldn't pick it up at the end like I planned.
