4 PR's

Spent another great morning at Catalyst working with Greg. Today we went over clean and jerks. We spent about 5 mins on the cleans until he told me that the clean actually looks pretty solid :)! So we spent the remainder of the time on the jerks which needs a lot of work. Learned new positions and finally figuring out how to get into the split that Michael also has been trying to get me into for a while. It's not going to be fixed in 1 day, but I at least now know where I need to be and what I need to do if I am not in the ideal position. I know I needed my back leg bent but my body was never in the position to do so, my torso was slanted forward as I kind of went thru the jerk which is not what I want, I want my shoulders/neck and hips under the bar in a straight line. Stoked to progress in the olympic lifts and practice everything I have learned and see where it takes me. I will probably enter in an Olympic Lifting Competition within the next few months and give that a try. Ordered new lifting shoes today can't wait to PR in them, and no they are not the reebok ones!!
Now onto today's PRs!
A1. Close Grip Bench Press @ 20X1, 1-1-1, 2 min - 1st set @ 135lb
A2. Back Squat @ 20X1, 3-2-1, 2 min - 85-90%
A3. Wtd Supinated Chin-up @ 20X0, 1-1-1, 2 min
A1. 135#, 145#, 145# (PR)
A2. 205# (3), 225# (2) PR, 235# (1) PR 205 was easy for 3, 225 was about 85% and 235 was about 85% effort. Still have a good bounce and able to keep pushing up with 235#, I will still be able to bounce out of the squat with much more than I can stand all the way up with. Moving up in the squatting world!
A3. 50#, 50#, 55# (PR)
