Another Split Jerk PR!

TRAINING:

A. Split Jerk, build to tough single
B. Depth HSPU, build to 3RM - increase depth until you reach a 3RM
C. Muscle-ups, 10 reps for time

RESULTS:

A. 190# pr
B. 7"
C. 2:05

*Felt good on the jerks today. 175# was my PR from the OPTathlon and it felt easy today, hit 185# which was a huge PR for me last week, and surprised myself with 190# today. My jerk is now heavier than my clean which is new to me, now a "clean and jerk" won't be so scary. Every time I do a clean and jerk, I do the clean easily and then think "ohh god", I would much rather be confident that anything I stand up with has a very good chance of going overhead.

*HSPU to 7" weren't too bad but the extra inch proved to be too much.

*Muscle Ups felt good. I failed 3 attempts but on 2 of the attempts I at least threw myself over. I told myself I needed to be under 3 minutes no matter what and around 2 minutes would be great. I have never done anything like this, the only thing I went off of is I know I can do 5 MU's in a minute, I just didn't know how the second 5 would feel at that pace. 9 reps completed at 1:30, the last rep took me 35 seconds (3 attempts). Good to know for next time.

    That's funny that we were just talking about that the other night! Next time I see you we should talk about millions of dollars and you winning the crossfit games or something.
