OPT's CF Construction Series # 1/3

TRAINING:
1. Max Back squat in 30 min
rest 15 minutes
2. Standing Triple Jump, best of 3 is score. 5 minute cap.
rest 15 minutes
3. 2,500m row for time
rest 2 hours
4. 10 rounds of 10 burpees, 10 pullups
*no jump required at the top of burpees, just full hip extension, arms at side is okay

RESULTS:

Today was a good day of tests. No event that I was really looking forward to so it was good for me mentally and physically. I haven't done too many tests but I have been working my ass off. I always have my training goals in mind no matter what I'm doing so I've really been working hard in the gym and resting and dieting just as serious. I weighed in at 136.5# today which is light for me. Back squatting wasn't as strong as I was hoping for today, I was really shooting for 225# if not 230#, which I know I can do (and have done 225#) but it just wasn't happening today. Triple Jump went okay. My initial jump is more like a step so once I master that, I should do pretty well at this event. I look at it as a power test and I am very powerful, so with more practice it will be a great event for me. Score for today was okay. Rowing went well. Damn that is a long row, but I paced it and did exactly how I thought I would, based off my best 2k which is 8:09. Work out 4 sucked. That was really hard. I was hoping for 10 to 11 minutes but I definitely fell off track. Breathing was tough and the burpee/pull up combo taxed my arms more than I anticipated, and on the last few sets of pullups my grip was really fatigued.
