Consistency

The past few weeks everything feels like it is starting to come together. I feel strong, fast, and powerful probably because I have been very consistent with my training. I am training harder than I ever have before and gaining huge results from the program. Don't get me wrong, everyday I am beat up physically and mentally. This training is tough! There are days that come when I do not want to work out because I am tired or sore, or whatever. In the past week especially, things have started to come together; I am hitting PR's without even trying and my metcon/endurance capability continues to improve. I heard this quote, "The goal is to keep the goal the goal." Remember what you're training for and why. There is not a day that goes by after I work out that I think, "I wish I didn't do that." If I don't train hard now I know for a fact I will look back to the days I slacked and wish I hadn't. That is exactly what happened to me last year. I slacked all summer.... fall.... and half of winter. The time I could have spent getting better was spent doing things I cannot even remember. I have never been so frustrated in my life than the time I watched the individual competitors in the regional. I belonged there, but my score from the open would say otherwise. I loved being on the team for the competition but knowing that I did not have a choice to even be an individual competitor really bothered me. I won't let that happen this year, and 2012 starts now!

TRAINING:
Part 1:
AMRAP E-ROM HSPU
Run 400 m @ 90%
rest walk 5 min x 5
+
AMRAP Triple Unders in 1 min
1 min rest x 4
rest 6+ hours
Part 2:
A. Clean and Jerk - 3 on the minute for 6 minutes @ 75% 1RM
B. Power Snatch - build to a tough single in no more than 4 sets
+
for time:
row 500 m
15 squat clean thruster - 155#/105#
row 500 m
15 squat clean thruster - 155#/105#
row 500 m
RESULTS:
Part 1:
Dumbbell hspu's are most challenging for me so i did mine on 35# db's. all strict.
reps/400m time (w/turn around)
4/ 1:29
6/ 1:29
6/ 1:31
6/ 1:28
6/ 1:30

I kept feeling like i was "falling off the wall but still had more in me" but... i think thats kind of like saying "i could have done more pullups but i couldnt hold onto the bar any longer"... i know i dont just fall off the wall for no reason. Core fatigues before shoulders so that must be my limiting factor.

Triple Unders: need more work.
5, 3, 4, 2
Part 2:
A. @ 128#
B. 133# PR! pretty excited for it. My previous pr was 115# so 133# was a pretty good # to hit
+
12:48 @108#
felt strong on the sq. clean thrusters
