"I Don't Have Time To Work Out"
I can't count the number of times I have heard someone say "I just don't have time to work out today." Not for one second do I think that is a valid excuse, in fact I think it is pathetic. What if I told you there are days when I work out for less than 5 minutes? Believe it or not, those are my hardest work outs. The short sprints are scary because I know I can push myself super hard and it will be nasty. Take "Grace" for example; 30 Clean and Jerks for time. I have done this work out at 95# in 2:43. In less than 3 minutes, I am done with my work out for the day. Try to tell me that's not an efficient work out. If that work out took me 20 minutes to do it would be the biggest waste of time. 95# is relatively heavy for a higher repetition work out (30 reps) but being able to complete it in under 3 minutes tests my cardiovascular conditioning as well as my muscle endurance. The next time you think to yourself, "Yeah... I just don't have time to work out today" remember that it's another lame excuse. You don't need a gym or a special place to work out. Get off your computer and do 50 burpees in your living room. It is pretty easy to find excuses and reasons not to work out, but challenge yourself; find ways to fit work outs into your busy schedule, and start by not making excuses. Get up 30 minutes earlier in the morning if you have to. If you start picking and choosing what work outs you want to do and when you want to do them, you'll never reach your goals. You will learn so much about yourself by doing things you do not want to do. Make a commitment and stick to it, you will surprise yourself!
